The Audiology and speech language pathology department is one of the best centre in the state level, equipped with puretone audiometry(GSI 61, clinical audiometer), Impedance audiometer (intra acoustics), BSERA, ASSR, OAE, (intelligent hearing system). Department is dealing with international hearing aids (Siemens and Bernafone) and cochlear implants (Advanced Bionics and Cochlear). Department is one of the empanelled centres for state cochlear implantation project (Sruthitharangam). This is one of the department in the state that strictly follows the hearing screening programme. The department is conducting an awareness week yearly as a part of world deafness and autism day.
