Neonatology

Welcoming your baby into the world feels like a rush of energy and emotions. If your baby requires special medical care you could feel worried, unsure, anxious, or even like you’re facing it all alone. At KIMSHEALTH, Kollam we want you to know we stand by your side. Neonatology focuses on the health of newborn babies and the things that affect their survival and development. Neonatologists work during labour and delivery. They handle high-risk births and work with obstetricians, family doctors, paediatricians, and other specialists. They treat premature or low-birth-weight babies. They also deal with newborns who have birth defects, infections, or trouble breathing.
