Purple Day – Spreading Awareness for Epilepsy | March 26 💜 Today, we observe Purple Day, a global initiative dedicated to raising more awareness about Epilepsy and breaking the stigma surrounding it. This inspiring movement was started by Cassidy Megan, a 8-year-old girl who wanted to ensure that no one feels alone because of their condition. She chose the color purple, inspired by the calming effect of lavender, symbolizing hope and support. Epilepsy is more common than we think, yet many people are unaware of how to respond during a seizure. Here’s what you can do: ✔️ Stay calm and stay with the person ✔️ Keep them safe by removing harmful objects ✔️ Gently turn them onto their side ✔️ Seek medical help if the seizure lasts more than 5 minutes Let’s work together to break myths, support those affected and create a more understanding and inclusive world. 💜 This Purple Day, stand in solidarity and spread awareness. Because no one should face epilepsy alone.
