The Blood Storage Centre at KIMSHEALTH, Nagercoil, ensures safe storage and timely supply of blood and blood components for patients requiring transfusion support. Functioning 24 hours a day, the centre plays an essential role in patient care by supporting emergency services, surgical procedures, critical care, maternity services, paediatrics, and other clinical departments.

Blood components and regenerative concentrates are processed and stored under carefully regulated conditions to preserve maximum cellular quality and therapeutic effectiveness.

1. Blood Storage& Issue Services

Blood and blood components are kept in temperature-controlled equipment designed to maintain quality throughout storage. Continuous monitoring and routine checks help ensure that recommended conditions are always maintained for patients requiring transfusion during:
