General Information

The tests included in the medical examination are as advised by the Immigration authorities of Aust/NZ/Canada/UK. If required, additional tests are to be done as per their protocol.

The tests depend on:
  • Type of visa
  • Length of stay
  • Age of applicant
  • Any medical issues in medical examination
Decisions about which health examinations are required are made by the Immigration Department.
Prior appointments are required for the medical examination. Online appointments are not available. For appointments kindly contact Visa Medicals Appointments Desk @ 0471 2941938 | 0471 2941950 or 0471 2941312 between 8 am and 5.30 pm Monday – Saturday. Department is closed on Sundays. 
Duration of the medical check-ups  : 1 to 3 hours
Payment can be made by cash or credit card.
Informed consent is signed and taken from every applicant as authorized by Immigration Departments of Aust/NZ/Canada/UK. Parent or guardian should sign on behalf of minor children* and persons with intellectual disability.
*Under 16 years for Australia, Canada and UK and under 18 years for New Zealand
Interpreter services can be arranged if the applicant does not speak English, Malayalam, or Tamil. Kindly inform at the time of appointment.
Medical examination with reports will be submitted on eMedical portal within 2 – 5 working days

Other Instructions:

  • Fasting is not required
  • If you use spectacles, please bring them
  • If you have any medical history, please bring medical reports
  • Females in their menstrual cycle are advised to postpone their appointments
