How is anaphylaxis treated? What should be the first aid? Dr. Prameela (Consultant Paediatrician, KIMS Trivandrum) explains that anaphylaxis should be treated then and there. You should not even take the patient to the hospital or clinic nearby. If a child or somebody already has multiple allergies to food or anything else, you should keep the emergency medicine at home, otherwise, the patient has immediately be taken to a hospital where emergency care is there. So it is very important that extreme forms of allergy or anaphylaxis have to be tackled quickly as you'll absolutely still if you are not treated. What you have to do treat is that when there is anaphylaxis you have to start on oxygen and most importantly on the wonder drug know as adrenaline. If the child has a history of anaphylaxis, the pediatrician teaches the parents how to take adrenaline at home. In the case of anaphylaxis, one has to give an adrenaline shot as soon as possible on the lateral aspect of the thigh otherwise one has to rush to the emergency care of the hospital.
