

80 Surgeons take the MRCS Final Exam at KIMSHEALTH: A First for South India
08 Oct 2024 | 2 minsThiruvananthapuram, September 30, 2024: The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow held its first International MRCS Final Exam in South India at KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum. A total of 80 surgeons from various parts of the world took part in the examination.
The event saw the participation of 25 chief examiners from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPS) of Glasgow, who individually assessed each surgeon’s skills during the examination. The MRCS is an international entry exam leading to FRCS that offers surgeons from around the globe, including India, a pathway to advanced surgical training.
"The MRCS is an examination that assesses the surgical skills, knowledge, proficiency, and other important clinical competencies of doctors. This annual international exam is being held for the first time in South India," said Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMSHEALTH. The programme at KIMSHEALTH was coordinated by Dr. Muhammed Nazeer, Senior Consultant & Group Coordinator, Department of Orthopedics & Trauma.
