Let’s Score Against Stroke: KIMSHEALTH Launches ‘Kick Fast’ Awareness Campaign
04 Nov 2024 | 2 minsThiruvananthapuram, October 29, 2024: KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum has launched a six-month-long ‘Kick Fast’ awareness campaign as part of World Stroke Day, led by the hospital’s neurology department.
At an event held at the hospital, Patrick Mota, captain of Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC, along with players Marcos Wilder, Seesan Selvan, and Mohammed Shafi, inaugurated the campaign. The players emphasised the importance of raising awareness about strokes due to the increasing number of stroke patients. They unveiled the campaign’s logo and highlighted the need for regular routine and dietary habits, similar to those required in football. Brazilian player Patrick Moth spoke about the importance of engaging in physical activities or at least a half-hour of daily walking.
In his presidential address, Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, Chairman, and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH, stressed the critical role of time in stroke management. He also highlighted that timely and expert treatment can effectively cure the disease.
Dr. Santhosh Joseph, Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead, Department of Neuro Interventional Radiology, and Dr. Suresh Chandran C.J, Senior Consultant, Department of Neurology, delivered the Stroke Day message. Dr. Syamlal S, Senior Consultant, Department of Neurology, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Shameem K.U, Consultant and Group Clinical and Academic Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks.
