KIMSHEALTH IT Data Center

KIMSHEALTH has reached a significant milestone in its digital transformation with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art, on-premises cloud-powered data center at its Trivandrum facility. This development marks a key step in enhancing guest experiences and expanding the hospital’s technological reach beyond geographical boundaries.

The facility was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, in the presence of Ms. Ayshwarya Vikram, Managing Director at Blackstone, alongside distinguished leaders, esteemed dignitaries, and honored delegates.

The newly launched smart data center is the first of its kind, offering full cloud functionality in a highly secure, fully managed on-premises setting. It guarantees superior data safety, security, and seamless availability of medical records, empowering healthcare professionals with enhanced mobility and performance. Unlike traditional cloud models, where data is moved to the cloud, KIMSHEALTH has reversed the approach by bringing the cloud to the data. This ensures that all sensitive information remains securely managed within the facility, protected from external threats by a robust physical and digital security framework.

The fully automated smart data center infrastructure is the result of collaboration between KIMSHEALTH’s IT team and its technology partners, Nerve Digital Cloud Platform (NDCP) and Vertiv Smart Data Center. This innovative solution is scalable to support both vertical and horizontal growth, enabling the hospital to meet future business requirements with minimal capital and operational investment, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and containers. This new data center underscores KIMSHEALTH’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient experiences.
